When he was born, birth, Stallone's trademark smile was the result of an incident with forceps. A nerve was cut off by the forceps accident. It caused him to have slurred speech. Stallone lived a hard childhood. Stallone, along with Frank the younger brother, were both impacted through the turbulent parent-child relationships, that led to divorce. Stallone was in foster care for some during his initial years. At the age of Stallone was just five years old old, his father moved his family to Washington, D.C. area where he started his own chain of beauty salons. Stallone was a resident of Maryland, living with his father after 1957 when his parents separated. Stallone was a struggle in both academics and emotional aspects and was exiled from several schools.
